Adams, an award-winning artist-poet-writer (and noted recipient of the 2018 Artist Scholarship from the Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation in Monaco) here nests a “suite of 21 poems based on the life and art of Anglo-Irish painter Francis Bacon. It follows his story from childhood to death, including key parts of his life, evoking his art, milieu, and residences. Partly set in Paris and Monaco, the entire sequence has been translated into French by Peggy Pacini. The English original text and French translation are set out on parallel pages. It includes one color illustration by the author.” One of 50 signed and numbered copies, of which this is quite an early number (#2/50).
