Original Event Poster: TRPS Festival of Rock Posters (October 16, 2004)

San Francisco, CA: Stanley Mouse, 2004. First Edition. Single Sheet. Signed with drawing by Stanley Mouse. An oblong poster (appx. 19" x 13") promoting the "TRPS Festival of Rock Posters" at the Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, during October 16, 2004. The acclaimed American artist Stanley Mouse (b. Stanley George Miller, 1940) created the artwork & graphics reproduced here, & "(logo)/ (c) 2004 Stanley Mouse" is found at lower left black margin near corner. At lower right margin, partially overlapping with illustration, Mouse has hand-written his signature which ends in a drawing of his famous mouse logo in bold gold ink (see image). No limitation is present, but this is surely a first & likely only printing to promote this special one-day event. A scarce & delightful later Mouse production, in its undoubtedly rarest singular contemporary form, enriched by Mouse's exuberant signature-drawing. Were it not for one point in particular, we would declare this poster to be in very fine condition: At lower left blank black margin/edge, there is a small vertical lightning-shaped hole surrounded by a small, jagged area of rubbing with loss of black surface. At upper left blank black margin/edge is one very short, thin scratch-crease with attendant loss of surface color (again, see image). The former appears to us to be a probable production flaw, & neither of these points effect the central image of printed recto, which is quite substantially mint, otherwise effected only (& collectibly) by the slight overlap of Mouse's signature-drawing noted above. This item is too delicate to be rolled & must be shipped flat to assure no damage, therefore extra shipping costs will be required. Near Fine. [Item #5645]
