M&M, Shoaf note that 1000 copies of this edition were printed, although not stated at colophon; & all three bibliographers mention an additional edition of 10 special copies (now unobtainable) which is stated at colophon. Also, a band (common to many French productions) with the unusual statement in French that reads in English "To settle a score with literature" was wrapped around some of the copies in this edition (per Schottlaender, pg. 4), although not present here. See also our item No. 5693 (first Amercan Edition of Minutes to Go). In the wake of our participation in the long-delayed Cut-Up Conference of the European Beat Studies Network (ebsn.eu) in September 2023 (stay tuned for a video recreation of our acclaimed presentation), we proudly present this iconic inaugural cut-up publication, the first unleashing of this most important & influential literary phenomenon co-invented, most exemplified & refined by WSB; in its very rarest obtainable form & in exceptionally very fine condition: slightest hint of rubbing, browning & fading to front, back covers & spine; a touch of wear & some tiny bumps, creases at edges & corners of same esp. spine; a bit of rubbing, mild browning & occasional spotting to edges of text block. Interior very fine with only very slight browning to blank white inner covers & page leaves (the latter mostly at blank margins/edges); miniscule bleeding of spots from side-edges of a few leaves; tiny bumps at corners of a few of same. Very Fine. [Item #5905]
