"All my crossings of the world end on this/ Cliff; I know it, looking down the deep night/ Where the ocean's heaving, cut by klieglights/ That fold out into the sand. Voices mixed" (first stanza) A broadside (appx. 8" x 12") with the title poem by Faye Kicknosway (a/k/a Morgan Blair), the acclaimed Detroit-born American poet & academician who has long resided in Hawaii. An exemplary production of The Alternative Press in Detroit, the fabled independent imprint founded & conducted by our good local friend, the renowned poet-educator Ken Mikolowski, & his late wife Ann (1940-1999), a noted artist. There is no date or limitation, colophon below poem simply reads: "a free poem from/ THE ALTERNATIVE PRESS/ 4339 Avery/ Detroit, Michigan." All Alternative Press ephemera such as this was printed only once in limited quantity, & is now highly sought by collectors. From the collection of Thomas Fitzsimmons (1926-2017), an important American poet, editor & academician. A scarce Kicknosway/AP collectible in its singularly rarest contemporay form, with distinguished provenance. See also esp. our item No. 2609. In relatively quite fine-to-very-fine condition with only several faint horizontal creases across blank upper margin; tiny bump, faint crease at/from upper left corner (lower edge is irregular as issued on handmade paper).
