Stockton, CA, USA: Wormwood Books and Magazines, 1993. Limited First Printing. Stapled Wrappers. This later number of the legendary literary journal edited by the late Marvin Malone features three poems by Charles Bukowski (1920-1994), the great American cult favorite poet-denizen of the dive bar & racetrack: "Out of Place," "On Being 20..." & P.O. Box 11946, Fresno, Calif. 90731" (pgs. 44-46). Debritto, B1682, pg. 394. Also in this issue are contributions of poetry by Gerald Locklin (1941-2021), the noted poet & former editor of Chiron Review who was Bukowski's close friend & colleague (pgs. 41-43); a special section of poems & prose-poems under the heading of "Flaws of the Flawless" by Peter Morris (1953-2003), the acclaimed poet & advertising writer (pgs. 25-34); & much more. Chapbook-format journal in stapled wrappers, one of an edition of 700 hand-numbered copies of which this is No. 561/700 as stated at colophon (pg. 48). Another rich & scarce issue in this most-collectible series, of particular importance to the Bukowski devotee with its exemplars of Buk's very late works. In especially very fine condition with only the slightest touch of rubbing to front, back covers & stapled spine; a few tiny bumps, creases at edges & corners of same; staples beginning to rust with miniscule outside bleeding at spine. Interior very fine with only tiny bumps at corners of a few page leaves; otherwise appearing substantially mint. Very Fine. [Item #7144]
