Offered here is the September 2002 issue of the French literary journal Litterature en Marche (2002) featuring Matthias de Breyne's article, "The Baby Beats & The Second San Francisco Renaissance," the first piece of published scholarship on the Baby Beat Generation and Second San Francisco Renaissance. It features de Breyne's commentary & sampled poetry of such key figures as Thomas Rain Crowe (b. 1949), Neeli Cherkovski (1945-2024), Philip Daughtry (b. 1942), Ken Wainio (1952-2006) & others who were at the center of the Baby Beat Generation/Second San Francisco Renaissance during the 1970s. The poems are in both English & de Breyne's French translation; all other texts in this & other articles in this issue are in French. With many images of the poets, ephemera etc. Following three years later was a book-length anthology with de Breyne's translations, Baby Beat Generation (Item No. 7349). The magazine also features French-language contributions from five other writers (Madeleine Roy-Bernède; Serge Gavronsky; Françoise Clédat; Huguette Champroux; & Christian Limousin).
