This issue also has the stand-out poems "The Disappearance of the Greenwood", "The Vandals", "The Orphan", " A Tyrant of Our Times", and "Mussing the Matriarchy" (pgs. 74-76) by American poet and Bukowski mentee Gerald Locklin (1941-2021), "Eileen" and "The Prom" (pgs. 10-12) by prolific American essayist, poet, and Bukowski admirer Robert Peters (1924-2014), & Spanish and English versions of "Intellijencia, Dame" (pg. 36) by Spanish poet and translator Juan Ramon Jimenez (1881-1958). Friedland discusses the rise of the popularity of Poetry L.A. in her introduction "Random Walk" & much more. With acknowledgments, contemporary ads, and writer descriptions. A very significant issue in this always most collectible series, of particular interest to the Bukowski devotee/completist. Trade-Format Softcover Journal; first edition, first printing though not explicated as such at copyright page. Journal in relatively fine-to-very-fine condition with minor rubbing and age-toning to front, back covers & spine; mild wear & some tiny bumps at edges & corners of same; minor age-toning to edges of text block.
