(from flyer contents) No. 20 in the series of flyer-announcements relating to the Detroit Artists’ Workshop’s series of Sunday Programs. The flyer-announcements relating to the Sunday Programs are unique in that they cover not only the local activities of the Workshop but survey the wider actions of the Mimeograph Revolution and its interests: be they musical, political, artistic, or otherwise. Scholars particularly should be interested in items like this: as they contain information that is of high value for cross-referencing whether an advertised event happened. Take, for example, the mention of Stephen Ligosky’s one-man-show at the Detroit Artists’ Workshop [TMB Item #8079]: if you were to write about such a thing, it’s great to see the cross-reference here; and you’d also know to contact Robin Eichele [b. 1941] to ask about it. George Tysh is listed to perform on April 4 with James Semark followed by a concert by Miles Davis. From the collection of Robin Eichele (b. 1941), noted Mimeograph Revolutionary & co-founder (with John Sinclair) of the Detroit Artists’ Workshop. Flyer-announcement on single sheet: the first & only printing of this distinguished rarity from the Mimeograph Revolution. In strong fine condition with only minute-to-moderate shelf-wear, light bumping to fine-edges & corners of sheet on verso & recto sides; & moderate-to-significant age-toning throughout; otherwise, clean. Fine. [Item #8155]
