Chapbook in stapled wrappers, first edition, first printing though neither specified at copyright page. From the collection of Robin Eichele (b. 1941), the acclaimed American poet & academician who co-founded the Detroit Artists' Workshop with the legendary John Sinclair (1941-2024) during 1964. At recto of first blank leaf, Sinclair has cursively hand-written, signed & dated in bold black ink: "For Robin/ "& in such good taste too"/ (signed) John/ 24.V.65 (24 May 1965)." The foundational Meltzer collectible in its rarest contemporary form, greatly enriched by the fabled Sinclair's poet-to-poet delightfully in-jokish inscription, signature & date; with multiply most-distinguished association & provenance. In relatively quite fine condition with mild rubbing, faint scratching, age-toning & occasional short markings, spots to front, back covers & stapled spine; a touch of wear & a few tiny bumps, creases at edges & corners of same; staples in process of rusting with miniscule exterior & interior bleeding; light rubbing, age-toning to edges of text block. Interior fine with slight age-toning to blank inner covers, endpapers & page leaves (the latter chiefly at blank margins/edges); bit of staple-rust noted above at middle; tiny bumps at mostly lower corners of some leaves.
