Levy (1942-1968) associated poet from Niagara Falls, NY who published this journal, was not only a great artist in his own right, but also curated similarly talented writers for Moonstones. Wagner’s works often appear alongside Levy’s, as the two were not only deeply enmeshed in the Niagara Falls literary scene, but also the mimeograph revolution that was sweeping across the midwest and west coast. Featured in this issue, Moonstones 3 is: surrealist poet and mimeograph revolutionary, d.a. Levy; Canadian poet, writer, sound poet, and editor bp Nichol (1944-1988); a series of poems by John Collom (1931-2017) poet, essayist and creative writing pedagogue; and a number of poems by Michael Perkins (b. 1942), for a full list of contributors and contents, see photographs attached to this listing. Large-format mimeographed magazine in stapled wrappers. First & only printing.
