Started in 1980 by New Yorker and co-author of millennial favorite children's book See You Later Alligator Helen Friedland (1916-2012), this timeless number of the legendary poetry journal chiefly edited by Friedland features four poems "The Science of Physiognomy," "In the Morning and at Night and In Between," "On the Bounce," and "Hello Hamsun" (pgs. 55-62), by Beat-&-Beyond cult favorite Charles Bukowski (1920-1994; Debritto B1389, pg. 346). This issue also has the stand-out poems "The Calligrapher" & ""Red Rooster, Yellow Sky" (pgs. 6-7) by Japanese-American poet Amy Uyematsu (b. 1947), "Lady in Moscow," "Ohmygod, I Just Noticed the Snippers on the Trellises," and "Doubloon" (pgs. 8-10) by American poet and friend of Bukowski Gerald Locklin (1941-2021); "Green," "Nurses at the Beach," and "Yes! I Wish to Order ____ Copy(s) of THE AMAZING KOERTGE FAMILY ALBUM at $29.95" (pgs. 24-26) by American poet Ron Koertge (b. 1940) & many more.
