The May/June 1982 issue of the The American Poetry Review, edited by David Bonnano (1949-2017) & Kathleen Sheeder (1956-2017) featuring a section by the late, great American writer and critic, Marjorie Perloff (1931-2024) on John Cage (1912-1992), Modernist collage, & Ezra Pound (1885-1972) [including asides on Henri Gaudier-Brezka (1891-1915)]; as well as several works (and/or) critical writing on & about Robert Bly. Lastly & most importantly, there are eight incredible unpublished poems by the great American poet, Charles Olson (1910-1970); a fact enriched by the provenance associated with this item (see below). A fine, collectible issue of a classic American literary journal. From the collection of Albert Glover (1942-2026), the esteemed American poet, editor, publisher & academician who was the foremost remaining authority on Charles Olson (1910-1970). Glover was a student of & anointed by the Maximus Master himself at SUNY Buffalo during the 1960s, & had ever since served outstandingly to bear the Olsonian Torch as bibliographer, editor & publisher. Glover passed away February of 2026, & we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family. Newspaper-format journal in loose sheets folded once horizontally: the first-&-only printing of the May/June 1982 issue of The American Poetry Review. In strong Fine condition with moderate-to-significant age-toning, some light bumping & related bump-creasing, & a few light chips to fine-edges & corners at select locales; otherwise, generally clean.
