An accomplished collection of poems by a bold, if overlooked voice in contemporary poetics. From the collection of Dan Rzicznek (b. 1979), an Ohio poet and professor at Bowling Green State University. Trade-format softcover: “First Edition,” as explicated on copyright page. This copy is additionally inscribed & signed by the poet to Rzicznek on title page. Marvin’s signature (which includes a crossing out of her name on title page), in thin, black pen ink, reads: “Dan — / Looking forward to / reading your [underlined] poems. / Best, / Cate Marvin / BGSU / 4/7/05.” In strong Very Good-Near Fine condition with only minute-to-moderate shelf-wear, light rubbing, some bumping to front, back covers & spine-edge; slightly more enunciated (since-flattened) bump-crease to bottom right-hand corner of front cover; faint, low-impact nicks & scuffing at/along same, though all generally mild; previous bookseller’s stickers (2) present at back cover slightly above bottommost fine-edge at center-middle; Rzicznek’s owner’s signature near topmost fine-edge of FFEP; otherwise, clean with interior unmarked.
