San Francisco, CA: Judy Grahn, Unknown. First Edition, First Printing. Stapled Wrappers. A collection of poems by one Judy Grahn, a poet from San Francisco, CA about which little is known. It features text by Grahn and drawings by three illustrators, Wendy Cadden (b. 1945), the American artist and printmaker; one Brenda Crider; and Gail Hodgins, two figures as elusive as Grahn herself. While we at TMB know little about all of these artists, the writing in this odd, mimeographed work surely deserves another look. From the collection of Albert Glover (1942-2026), the esteemed American poet, editor, bibliographer, academician & publisher who was the foremost remaining authority on Charles Olson (1910-1970). Glover was a student of & anointed by the Maximus Master himself at SUNY Buffalo during the 1960s, & had ever since served outstandingly to bear the Olsonian Torch. We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of our friend & mentor. Oblong-format softcover in stapled wrappers: presumed First Edition, First Printing, though not explicated as such on copyright page. In strong Near Fine condition with generally mild-to-moderate rubbing, shelf-wear, & some light bumping & attendant bump-creasing to fine-edges & corners of front, back covers & spine-edge; minute-to-mild exhibits of spotting, as well as related age-toning (of a similar type & gradation) variously present throughout; revised address (in thin, blue pen ink) present on recto of RFEP; otherwise, clean with interior unmarked.
